The owner (4th generation) and the staff know the area well and can give a lot of advice. The hotel features the Swiss cuisine restaurant Schnadis, which has a sunny terrace with magnificent views of the mountains. There is shared laundry and kitchen. The Budget Waldhotel gives guests the Interlaken card, with which they can use public transport for free within Interlaken. The Heimwehfluh bus stop is the closest and is only an 8-minute walk from the hotel.
