Considered by many to be the best kept secret in Bournemouth - The Chine is an oasis of true comfort and relaxation set in three acres of mature gardens and offers breathtaking, pristine ocean views over the treetops. It is ideal for guests who want a quiet holiday - the beach is only a two-minute walk from the hotel grounds - as well as for those who want to do some shopping and enjoy entertainment in the city center, which is only a five-minute drive away. The hotel overlooks the surf reef and is easy to get to. There is a lot to enjoy on the hotel grounds, including water features - secluded areas - a play house for children and of course the beautiful view. The hotel has a heated outdoor pool and inside the hotel is a luxurious Roman spa where you can relax. The Sea View restaurant offers excellent cuisine, the quality of which can only be achieved by the fantastic view over the treetops and the sea. The cozy cocktail bar is the perfect place for a tempting aperitif or after-dinner drink, which you can enjoy by the fireplace in the winter months. All 79 rooms at The Chine are excellently equipped - many with breathtaking sea views and balconies. All rooms have a private bathroom and are equipped with a hairdryer - direct dial telephone - satellite TV and a free tray. In addition to a selection of standard or superior bedrooms, there are various configurations so that the individual needs of the family can be met as far as possible - with interconnected bedrooms - family suites and extra beds that can be placed in the parents' room. For families, the main attraction is perhaps the 11 km long Bournemouth Bay sandy beach with the Blue Flag for cleanliness. RNLI lifeguards are on duty in the summer season. There's also the indoor heated pool, outdoor pool, and organized entertainment that helps keep the kids busy (and gives the adults time to enjoy themselves).
