About the accommodation

In the town of Capdepera, northeast of Mallorca, about 70 km from Palma airport, the former nunnery was renovated to make it the first 4-star hotel. Hotel Creu de Tau opened its doors on May 1st. The main building that housed until 2005 the former Franciscan nunnery of the "Daughters of Mercy" Congregation, opened on February 8, 1891, was enlarged to become a typical structure of the great palaces, being true to Mallorca's own architecture. The soul of the original buildings will be kept alive, giving the property a unique monastic character. Hotel Creu de Tau will have a gourmet restaurant with bar and lounge, a spa with indoor pool and wellness, conference room and terrace in the holly forest for weddings or events. The entire complex, gardens and outdoor pool enjoy spectacular views of the emblematic Capdepera Castle.
