SL Hotel - Santa Luzia Elvas

The city of Elvas, classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, is on the Portuguese-Spanish border next to the highway between Lisbon and Madrid. António Ferro, Portuguese poet, had the vision of this typical and ideal hotel in a quiet and pleasant place. The SL Hotel is presented as a space of communion between comfort, the art of welcome, the history of Elvas, the cuisine of Alentejo and its special landscape, maintaining the tradition started in 1942 when it opened as the first Inn of Portugal. Of the restoration and modernization works that took place during 2013, its typical architecture has been maintained, designed by the award-winning architect Miguel Jacobetty Rosa (Winner of the Valmor Awards), the cozy atmosphere and the personalized service. Its location allows to provide different experiences according to the desired, once it is located in the center of the city of Elvas, next to the entrance of the historic center but with a landscaped green area that surrounds the entire property with more than 12,000 m2, thus creating a place to rest from the hectic life of the city, or then to rest after discovering everything that the Alentejo plains and the Elvas Heritage hide. The Restaurant "1942" recovers traditional Alentejan recipes, and local and homemade products are assumed to be protagonists in this place, where the Golden Cod was born; emblematic and best known dish of the city's cuisine. The Bar, the Lounge, the Terraces, the Pools, the Tennis Court, the Garden and the Private Parking complement this unit.
