About the accommodation
Enjoy a warm welcome and traditional hospitality at the Plow and Harrow Hotel in Edgbaston, Birmingham. The traditional Victorian red brick architecture of our original building along with the extensive garden, lawn areas and numerous car parking spaces They allow the Pough and Harrow Hotel to stand out from other Birmingham hotels. Built in 1704 as a post stop, this hotel has become over the centuries an enclave strongly anchored in history and was one of the most popular accommodations in Birmingham during the 1980s and 1990s, becoming the Egon Ronay Hotel of the Year in 1984. Our restaurant has also been a popular enclave to enjoy exquisite lunches and dinners and has been frequented regularly by celebrities, politicians and personalities of unfortunately, in the mid-1990s, the hotel suffered a lack of investment by di These corporate owners changed owners several times. In 2010, the hotel returned to private hands for the first time in 50 years and since TTM Partnership LLP, as new owners, we have initiated a gradual investment and progressive reform plan with a term approximately 10 years old and it will be extended to all areas of the hotel. The ultimate goal is to return to this hotel its historical importance in top quality facilities that make us a boutique establishment in Birmingham aimed at both guests on a leisure holiday such as business, wedding banquets, functions and local events, as well as in a place to enjoy lunch, dinner or afternoon tea. Once all the rooms and public areas are renovated, the address is considering expanding from the hotel, possibly to include a spa and a beauty salon back in 2020.
