Ben Doran is an elegant protected Georgian house that enjoys a central location. The traveller will find a unique variety of new historical and exciting attractions that merge to create a rich and vibrant atmosphere that only Edinburgh can offer. Princes Street, the Waverley train station and the bus station are only one mile away. Edinburgh Castle, the new Scottish Museum, Holyrood Palace, Dynamic Earth, The Royal Mile, the University of Edinburgh and golf courses are within walking distance. The bus service is direct and frequent to all Edinburgh destinations. The Ben Doran Town House is completely renovated and is a completely smoke-free property. With central heating, the rooms are charmingly decorated, cozy and comfortable. The renowned Edinburgh architecture and the beautiful slopes can be enjoyed from the guest house. All rooms are equipped with color television and alarm clocks and free tea and coffee are available at all times. We have been awarded the "Sparkling Diamond Award" of the RAC, and we are proud of the highest level of neatness. Our elegant dining room has room for up to 25 guests. A sumptuous and elaborate Scottish breakfast is cooked to suit the guest, which is served with the finest porcelain and silver. A selection of delicious, fresh meals is served every night from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Food bags are also available upon request.The Ben Doran is situated on the A701, on the south side of Edinburgh, five minutes from Princes Street along the A701. From the city bypass (A720), exit at Straiton Junction onto the A701 toward the City Center. Ben Doran is approximately three miles on the right. Edinburgh international airport within ten miles. Nearest train Station is Waverley.
