About the accommodation
The hotel is located in a quiet area of the Cannaregio district, which preserves the atmosphere of ancient Venice. It is an area where there are no tourists, but many old restaurants and taverns. All the places of interest are very close walking: just 5 minutes is the Rialto Bridge and 10 minutes you will find the Plaza San Marcos. The building is an example of the minor architecture of Venice, but retains the charm of the old city. The entrance is through a distinctive courtyard, where you will be enveloped in the atmosphere of intimacy and so particular of the Venice of the past. The atmosphere will take you to the time of the gondolas going from palace to palace, mysterious guardians of intrigues and loving conspiracies. The original beams and marble of the 13th century that decorate the reception have been preserved thanks to a careful restoration and the chandelier and the splendid antique mirror are the testament to the sublime skill of the master glassmakers of Murano. The hotel was renovated in 2006 and has 20 double rooms, 5 singles and 2 junior suites spread over 4 floors. The services offered include air conditioning, a lobby with 24-hour reception, a safe, a currency exchange, lift access, a café, a bar, a TV lounge, a restaurant, WLAN Internet access and room service. The rooms are distinguished by the detail, the "fin de siècle" furniture, the sumptuous tapestry, the Murano chandeliers and their equipment. This includes satellite TV, an external direct dial telephone, a safe and individually regulated heating and air conditioning. All rooms have a bathroom with shower or bathtub and hairdryer, decorated with mosaic tiles and embellished by Murano glass mirrors. Double bed, minibar and terrace are also part of the standard. It has a good location. More toiletries than usual in a hotel of its range. And noteworthy is that the pastries are made from good puff pastry.
