          The Thorbecke is a privately owned 1-star hotel, located in the heart of Amsterdam, close to Rembrandt Square and the exclusive shopping area, museums and galleries. The hotel was named to Johan R. Thorbecke, a prominent figure in Dutch liberal politics in the 19th century. All rooms are comfortable and feature modern amenities including TV, telephone and hairdryer. Guests should note that the double / twin and triple rooms have their own facilities, the single rooms only offer shared bathroom facilities.
