The hotel is located in a historic area in the center of Amsterdam. It overlooks the newly discovered ruins of a manor house, residence of the founder of Amsterdam Gijsbrecht ii Van Amstel, who lived in this house in the thirteenth century. The hotel is also very close to the main shopping areas and within walking distance of the picturesque Jordaan area and the famous Anne Frank house. The hotel has benefited from an important renovation work and now offers four star accommodations with new beds and furniture, LCD TVs that, along with the bathrooms, are in excellent condition. The breakfast room is located on the basement level, in a bright and spacious room with large windows offering views of the tree-lined street at the back of the hotel. There is also a bar on the first floor serving snacks, with a terrace that again overlooks the tree-lined street behind the hotel.It is a 17th century building, completely renovated. The lobby is medium in size and has benefited from a major renovation, with "up-to-the-minute" chairs, reserved seating and a modern lounge atmosphere
