La ubicación es perfecta si se busca un lugar tranquilo donde descansar. La piscina exterior tiene unas vistas increíbles. El desayuno muy bien. Relación calidad precio está bien.
El hotel necesita un buen mantenimiento: el exterior alrededor del hotel está muy descuidado, el suelo de madera de las zonas comunes muy viejo, los cristales necesitan una buena limpieza. Se nota que le han dado un lavado de cara pero no es suficiente.

Rude staff, gas station hostel room, huge stains on the carpet, on the mattress, in the bathroom, hairs, mold, broken furniture, lights and air conditioning that do not work... a complete disaster. The hotel facilities are the same, leaks, stains on the wall... they have furniture and parts of the hotel from 40 years ago and then some more recent things that are the ones shown in the photos. The worst hotel experience of my life.
Personal maleducado, habitación de hostal de gasolinera, manchas enormes en la moqueta, en el colchón, en el baño, pelos, moho, muebles rotos, luces y aire acondicionado que no funcionan… un completo desastre. Las instalaciones del hotel más de lo mismo, goteras, manchas en la pared… tienen muebles y partes del hotel de hace 40 años y después algunas cositas más recientes que son las que salen en las fotos. La peor experiencia en un hotel de mi vida.

People come in to record and take photos, dressed in street clothes with street shoes, requirement of caps and flip-flops that no one complied with. Lack of staff in different services, cafeteria, spa, pool kiosk, trash cans full of garbage and plants that have not been watered in a long time. We got a room with a terrace that we found dirty, floor, table, and chairs and so it continued for 5 nights, 6 days.

ROOM CHANGE.
They gave us a room that, although huge, seemed like it came out of the movie "This House is a Ruin." Terrible cleanliness, extremely dirty carpet, with humidity and very old. Heavy curtains with a lot of mold, and the fabric ones were dirty and neglected. Although it had a terrace, it hadn't been cleaned and was full of cobwebs and bugs. The wardrobe had drawers that couldn't be opened, from many years ago, and there were also cigarette butts. So much water leaked from the bathtub screen that the bathroom turned into a pool. That's when I took the receptionist (very friendly, by the way) to the room and showed him everything I mentioned before. He said they sent the deals there looking for a deal. I told him that was inhumane, and he changed our room, apologizing. Let's say he took us to another wing of the hotel, completely different. Modern rooms, very spacious, and fantastic furniture. No terrace, but large windows with spectacular views. Right there, our stay at the hotel changed, and we also noticed it in the staff's treatment. The infinity pool with spectacular views. The wonderful location at 1100m altitude. The food was very good, as in most of Portugal.
CAMBIO DE HABITACIÓN.
Justo nos dieron una habitación que aunque enorme parecía sacada de la película esta casa es una ruina. Limpieza pésima, moqueta hipersucia, con humedad y muy antigua. Cortinas opacas con mucho moho y las de tela sucias y desdeñadas. Aunque disponía de terraza pero no la habían limpiado y estaba llena de telarañas y bichos. Armario ropero tenía los cajones que no se podían abrir y de muchos años atrás y también habían colillas. De la mampara de la bañera se filtró tanto el agua que se convirtió el baño en una piscina. Ahí fue el colofón donde me llevé al recepcionista(muy amable por cierto) a la habitación y le enseño todo lo anterior. Nos dice que es que allí enviaban a las ofertas como busca un chollo. Le dije que eso era inhumano y nos cambió de habitación pidiendo disculpas. Digamos que nos llevó a otra ala del hotel totalmente diferente. Habitaciones modernas, muy espaciosas y con mobiliario fantástico. Sin terraza pero unas cristaleras grandes dinde las vistas eran espectaculares. Justo allí cambió nuestra estancia en el hotel y también lo notamos en el trato del personal. La piscina infinity con unas vistas espectaculares. El enclave maravilloso a 1100m de altura. La comida muy buena, como en casi todo Portugal.

Es un enclave maravilloso y en su momento tuvo que ser un hotel de lujo por los materiales de construcción, pero ahora bastante descuidado, falta de limpieza, filtraciones de agua incluso en las zonas reformadas. En el Spa no funcionaba bien el jacuzzi ni la sauna. Falta de personal y asistencia. Algunas cristales rotos de una cristalera grande con peligro de que se caigan. El personal en general bastante amable pero desbordados por falta de este. Un complejo de estas características tiene que tener un cuidado y mantenimiento de las instalaciones continuo.

I would increase the staff at the hotel for the Bar, restaurant, and pool areas since it is a bit scarce, and also the hot water in the rooms which sometimes fails.

We really enjoyed the indoor pool. As a spa, I find the water temperature to be low, but we enjoyed it a lot as a pool. The outdoor pool is amazing, it has stunning views.
For unwinding, it's a great place.
The room was very spacious and clean, also with great views and a huge bathroom.
Nos ha gustado mucho la piscina interior. Como spa la temperatura del agua la veo baja, pero la hemos disfrutado mucho como piscina. La piscina exterior es una pasada, tiene unas vistas impresionantes.
Para desconectar es un sitio genial.
La habitación era muy amplia y limpia, también con unas vistas estupendas y con un baño enorme.
As a suggestion to improve the stay, in my opinion, I would worry about cleaning the windows more often to fully enjoy the fabulous views. I would set up a recreational area to fill dead times, for example, by adding a pool table, gaming area,...
I would liven up the cafeteria a bit more to better take advantage of that great area.
Room service should be in the mornings. They came to clean our room at 15:30h and I think that time is not the most appropriate, it caught us during our rest before going to the pool.
Our experience with the restaurant, without considering ourselves very demanding, was average. It was dinner and the food was reheated, the service very slow, despite the great effort of the waitresses, and there were even people who got up from the table without eating. Considering that there is nothing for many kilometres around, I assure you that more than one person went to sleep without eating anything. Have you thought about putting vending machines in the main areas?
Despite how harsh it may sound, I write this as a suggestion for improvement, as the hotel is very beautiful and I think it's amazing.
Como sugerencia para mejorar la estancia, bajo mi punto de vista, me preocuparía de limpiar más a menudo las cristaleras para disfrutar al máximo las fabulosas vistas. Prepararía una zona lúdica para rellenar tiempos muertos, por ejemplo poner un billar, zona de juegos,...
A la cafetería le daría un poquito más de vidilla para aprovechar mejor esa zona tan estupenda.
El servicio de habitaciones debería ser por las mañanas. A nosotros vinieron a hacernos la habitación a las 15:30h y pienso que esa hora no es la más apropiada, nos pilló en el momento de descanso antes de ir a la piscina.
Nuestra experiencia con el restaurante, sin considerarnos muy exigentes, fue regular. Fue cena y la comida estaba recalentado, el servicio muy lento, a pesar del gran esfuerzo de las camareras, e incluso hubo gente que se levantó de la mesa sin cenar. Teniendo en cuenta que no hay nada a muchos kilómetros a la redonda, aseguro que más de uno de fue a dormir sin comer nada. ¿Han pensado en poner alguna máquina de vending en las zonas comunes?
A pesar de lo duro que pueda parecer, lo escribo como sugerencia de mejora, ya que el hotel es muy bonito y me parece una pasada.

You can see: the main stairs, which are made of wood, are worn out and could use a varnish, the dining tables, with many dents, the ceilings of the hallways (there was a leak in the hallway of rooms 300)...when you enter the Spa, it looks like an indoor pool and not decorated at all...in short, it needs to update the main areas. A girl in the dining room was very dry and curt, not only in how she welcomed us and spoke to us...we heard comments from another table, who also called her stupid. Nobody spoke to us in Spanish...not even at reception.

Se ven : las escaleras principales, que son de madera, desgastadas y un barniz no le vendría nada mal, las mesas del comedor, con muchos golpes, los techos de los pasillos (había una gotera en el pasillo de las habitaciones 300)...cuando entras en el Spa, parece una piscina interior y nada decorado...en fin que necesita actualizar las zonas comunes. Una chica en el comedor fue muy seca y cortante y no sólo por cómo nos recibió y nos habló a nosotros...escuchamos comentarios de otra mesa, que también la llamó estúpida. Nadie nos habló en español...ni siquiera en recepción

Very good experience. The pool is great. The spa is great, the facilities are good, and the room is good. Very happy overall, exceptional value for money in our case.

The only downside is the food issue. They have a restaurant but it's a shame they don't have a children's menu. And the menu, in my opinion, is expensive for the quality they offer. El unico inconveniente el tema comida .tienen un restaurante pero falla el que no tengan menu infantil para niños .y la carta a mi gusto cara para la calidad que dan .no puedes pagar 15 euros de media por plato y que te pongan patatas congeladas de bolsa .comimos el primer dia a la llegada pero los demas dias bajamos al pueblo .si ajustaran los precios o dieran un menu a precio razonable mucha mas gente comeria en el hotel .estoy seguro
