Beachfront Hotel La Palapa

The beach hotel is located beachfront on Isla Holbox, situated where the Caribbean Sea meets the Gulf of Mexico, in the northernmost state, Quintana Roo, and northwest of the Yucatan Peninsula. Cancun's international airport is approximately 140 km from the beach hotel. The hotel is one of the most traditional on the island and offers a perfect balance between Caribbean colonial style and the lush tropical vegetation that surrounds it. It is the perfect paradise to relax in total harmony with nature, while enjoying personalized attention and one of the best beaches in the Mexican Caribbean. The hotel, renovated in 2008, has 12 rooms and offers 24-hour reception and check-out service, currency exchange service, restaurant and Wi-Fi Internet connection. The hotel's spacious and comfortable rooms (with one or two beds) are fully equipped with air conditioning, ceiling fans, hot shower and private balcony with ocean views. Guests can relax on the sun loungers on the terrace. In addition, activities such as speedboating, diving, windsurfing, sailing, catamaran sailing and canoeing are available. You can also explore the surroundings on horseback or mountain bike. There is a sandy beach nearby. Lunch can be ordered à la carte. The drive to the hotel is about 2 hours. Take the free highway to Merida, straight on to Leona Vicario. Just past Leona Vicario is the town of Nuevo Valladolid. There is a turnoff to the right as you enter the town (at km 262 on the highway). Then follow the road straight to the end, where there are signs to the town and port of Chiquilá, located approximately 45 minutes from that point.
