          About the accommodation
          The picturesque village of Mellieha is located on top of a hill, 21 km from the capital, Valletta. In Mellieha you will find good restaurants, bars, pizzerias and a wide variety of small shops. Mellieha lies next to a long sandy beach called L-Ghadira by the Maltese. The area is ideal for excursions on foot, where you can enjoy fantastic views and the flora and fauna of the place. Malta International Airport is some 20 km away. This family-friendly complex has been in operation since 1982, and over the years it has been increasing its capacity. It started with 30 apartments and has now established itself as the largest aparthotel on the island, with 158 apartments. The establishment has a lobby with 24-hour reception, currency exchange, lift, cafeteria, mini-market, 2 bars, games room and restaurant. For an additional fee, guests may make use of the Internet connection and the room and laundry services. The Standard studio apartments have 1 double bed or 2 single beds (you can request a sofa bed, if you wish). The bedrooms have a kitchenette with fridge and cooker, bathroom, ironing set, safe, direct dial telephone and ceiling/standing fan. All have balconies facing the street, with a terraced hillside and the beautiful Mellieha Shrine as a backdrop, or sea views. The hotel has 2 outdoor swimming pools, one on the roof and one on the ground floor, a poolside snack bar, sun loungers and parasols. On the premises there is a diving center that welcomes both experts and beginners (extra charge). A variety of dives are possible: to spectacular wrecks, caves or cliffs, boat or night dives, in various magnificent locations in Malta, Gozo and Comino. Live shows are offered 2 or 3 times a week.
