About the accommodation
This magnificent hotel is located in a historic building, fully rebuilt respecting its beautiful nineteenth century facade. The hotel is located in the historic center of the noble town of Portugalete walk from the stunning Suspension Bridge of Bizkaia.
The Hotel is located in the heart of the metropolitan area of Bilbao, well communicated with the city center by train (with stops only 4minutes) and metro (mouth closer to 7 minutes walk). Allowing reached in about 15 minutes to the center of Bilbao.
All rooms are exterior and have exceptional views of the sea and the famous Ria de Bilbao against the residential area of Getxo - Las Arenas.
Standard rooms have a double bed or 2 beds, view to the rear and bathroom. All rooms have a safe deposit box, minibar, hairdryer, bathroom and WIFI. Besides superior rooms overlooking the Cantabrian Sea and the wonderful estuary.

Al llegar nos encontramos en el
Mini-bar un paquete de jamón serrano caducado desde hacía 21 dias, el jamón estaba de color verdoso y era más que evidente su estado, aún así y de manera visible estaba en el mini-bar. Al dejarlo en recepción nos dijeron un simple: perfecto! A lo que contestamos un: hombre perfecto no es...
La noche que decidimos cenar en el restaurante del hotel ( haciendo uso del descuento de la promo) nos comentan que son las 1 noticias que tienen... Después de esperar nos dicen que nos aceptan el descuento sólo con un menú cerrado y no de la carta, les comentamos que nuestra oferta incluía el descuento en carta y nos piden el móvil ( que se llevan a cocina) para enseñar el mail de busco un chollo. Después de casi 45 mnts nos hacen " el favor" de aceptar nuestro mail ya que era algo que nadie les había pedido y el jefe no les había comentado.
La cena: pedimos un tartar de atún y nos lo sirvieron con rúcula revenida y oxidada ( y no es broma, pensabamos que era una cámara oculta) le comentamos a la camarera y simplemente nos trajo un bol pequeño lleno de rúcula fresca y en buenas condiciones! Para flipar ni disculpas ni leches!
Al pagar nos piden que bajemos una copia del mail y la dejemos en recepción: nos cobran el tartar revenido y de nuevo nadie nos pide disculpas salvo la pobre camarera que era la que daba la cara.
Al día siguiente bajamos a desayunar una hora y media antes del fin del horario y nos dicen que sólo les quedan dos " bocaditos" de algo dulce que no supimos diferenciar y al comentar que eso no nos gustaba entonces dijeron que podíamos espera " un poco" y que traerían crousans recién hechos: esa espera fué de 25 mnts!
Fué un poco desastre en general y para nada lo romántico que parecía en la promo!

El desayuno incluido (cantidad y calidad inmejorable), atención del personal en recepción y restaurante, increíbles vistas desde la propia habitación y precioso edificio.
Lo más difícil el aparcamiento en la zona, aunque por 15 módicos euros lo puedes dejar aparcado en el hotel.
