This hotel enjoys an ideal location on the cliff top of Southbourne, next to the cliff chair lift and Fishermans Walk. There are spectacular views of Poole Bay with Swanage to the west and the Isle of Wight. The surrounding area provides plenty of attractions, with the center of the New Forest just 15 minutes' drive away and easy access to the Isle of Purbeck, Corfe Castle and Allworth Cove. Southampton Airport is 55 km away and Bristol Airport 145 km. This family-friendly hotel was built in 1928, and was originally known as 'Crawford's Tea Rooms'. During the war it was used to house American airmen. Later, in the early '50s, an extension was made and the place became a bar and a hotel. Not long after, it ended up being transformed into a complete hotel with 12 bedrooms with private bathroom, a restaurant and a bar. It has free limited on-site car park and a car park area designed for people with reduced mobility. You can also park in the surrounding streets. All recently refurbished bedrooms come with an ensuite bathroom with Gilchrist and Soames bath products and offer brand new value sprung daybeds, luxurious duvets and pillows. All the bathrooms have also been refurbished with new English fittings and massage showers. Rooms are equipped with TV, radio with alarm and tea/coffee making facilities.
